Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gcalctool
I have tried calculating 128 * 256, and it shows nothing. After playing
around I realised that the same thing happens when the result of any
mathematical operation is 1000 or more. The text box that is used to
show the results shrinks a little bit vertically. There is no text
inside it. This happens only if Dec and Fix are used. If I change the
display type to Eng or Sci or the base to Bin, Oct or Hex, it shows the
result. The only setting I changed was Accuracy (Acc). I changed it from
9 to 30 and it worked fine until I closed it and ran it again. Then the
problem occured.
After changing the Accuracy from 30 to 9 and restarting the gcalctool it
worked fine.
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 with all updates installed. gcalctool version is
5.20.2.
