Problem:
Several programs won't start up and give the following error. Namelijk Firefox
and linuxdcpp:
Firefox:
$ firefox
/usr/lib/firefox-3.0b5/firefox: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_dpgettext
Linuxdcpp:
$ ./linuxdcpp
./linuxdcpp: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined
symbol: g_dpgettext
The error started to occur after I installed the latest alpha version of
Kde4 one week ago.
Some information about my system:
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04
I don't know the source package i found the bug in, I guess it is
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0,
but since running apt-cache policy delivers the following message:
$ apt-cache policy libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
W: Unable to locate package libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
I guess I don't understand enough about packages..
** Affects: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu)
