I am trying to delete a folder on an FTP server (Filezilla Windows FTP
- Server). I have the most current update in Hardy as of Apr 15, 2008. If
- the folder contains files, gvfs will delete them. It will say "preparing
- delete" for a while. Then, I get the following error:
+ Server). I have the most current update in Hardy as of Apr 15, 2008. It
+ will say "preparing delete" for a while. If the folder contains files,
+ gvfs will PRETEND TO delete them. Then, I get the following error:
"Couldn't remove the folder XYZ."
Under more details then:
"Directory not empty."
It will offer to skip the folder (or all folders that I am trying to delete
in the batch).
- When I open the folder to look: It is empty.
+ When I open the folder to look: It is empty. BUT: When I use another FTP
+ client to access the folder, it turns out the directory is NOT empty.
+ GVFS doesn't list the files in them! I have tried to turn on "show
+ hidden files" but that did not help. The files that do not get listed do
+ not have a . in front of them. Please tell me how to provide more info.
+ Thank you!
