In 7.10 Gutsy and in 8.04 RC Heron, my panel volume indicator does not
work.
Hardware: Audigy 2 Soundcard
Behavior: Volume speaker icon shows as muted; clicking to unmute: no
effect. Sliding slider: no effect. Sound works fine.
Expected behavior: Muted indictator - no sound should occur. Unmuted,
slider should control volume of sound.
I was hoping that upgrading to the release candidate of hardy heron
would repair this issue - it continues. The volume indicator in the
panel does nothing.
