On 18 april 2008 (last Friday), I updated my Gutsy amd64. That bug was still there.
[SOLVED in Hardy Heron] I updated my system to Hardy Heron 8.04 amd64 Release Candidate. I cannot reproduce the bug either way :-). I suggest to close that bug report.
