Binary package hint: totem
Totem gstreamer doesn't play any Matroska files with subtitles but he
plays Matroska files which doesn't have subtitles. The Matroska files
where Created in Gutsy. All Subtitles are utf-8 encoded. If I load such
a file(Matroska with subtitles) Totem I have to force him to close.
Totem also generates no thumbnails from such files. The Vlc player plays
them fine.
