Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
When I start up evolution it asks me for a password. I enter it and it
tells me it is wrong/can't connect to the server with it, even though it
is 100% correct. I can enter it time after time and hit OK and it keeps
asking me to enter my password. If I hit cancel and send/receive
manually, it downloads email from the server and it downloads/attempt to
download email at the 5 minute time interval I ask it to check in.
Gutsy. POP3.
This is similar to another bug reported but has nothing to do with
exchange nor do they mention that it tells you that the password you
enter on startup can't be used to retrieve mail.
Deleted the .gnome2_private/Evolution file and it asked for my password
on startup (this time I did enter it), and then did the same thing:
complained it could not connect and kept asking for my password. It
then worked after cancelling the opening dialog and clicking on
send/receive.
This is amateur hour.
