Is it supposed to stay over the panel, so I can't reach the panel, nor see the 
rest of the calendar, nor click the clock again to make it disappear?

I'm sure you misunderstood me, in this picture 
(http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/7286/27ki.jpg) the missing part is 
offscreen.  I don't think that's supposed to happen.

In other words: the calendar should be pushed down if the clock applet is on 
the TOP panel, but not in the BOTTOM panel which is the case.
