I have done 2 fresh installs of Ubuntu 8.04 and 1 of Xubuntu and I can
be surfing the net or just playing a game and then randomly the quit
screen just pops up for no reason and you press cancel to that and then
it will just keep popping up then and the only way to get rid of it is
to restart it or shut down.
