You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I have the following NFS volume mounted on all my machines in my LAN:
/etc/fstab:
...
192.168.1.99:/share/hdd/data/public /mnt/data nfs
rw,suid,dev,exec,auto,user,sync,_netdev,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,hard,intr,timeo=10,retrans=5
0 0
...
Up to and including the gutsy gibbon release this volume "data" is shown
under "places" in nautilus and as an icon on the Gnome desktop on all my
machines.
Two days ago I have upgraded on my IBM Thinkpad T23 from gutsy gibbon to
hardy heron (8.04). The desktop icon is gone and also the entry in
"places". The volume still gets mounted and it is still shown in the
"disk mounter applet".
