Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
This precise bug is in Hardy, clean install, Evolution 2.22.1-0ubuntu3,
bogofilter installed too with plugin enabled and spamassassin disabled.
So this should normally happen on a standard install, in spite of the
fact that spam filtering claims it just works out of the box (which is
already an improvement ;-) ).
When marking a message as junk, the status bar says "Learning as
junk...", goes until 100%, and moves the message to the spams folder.
But next spams that arrive into my inbox are never detected as such.
This is the case even when manually triggering the check on selected
messages. This has been the case for a long time, and I've given it many
spams to learn. Every "check spam" option in Edit->Preferences is
ticked.
I could not find any error message in my logs, just:
Thread b49d7b90 >
pipe_to_bogofilter /usr/bin/bogofilter -s --unicode=yes
Attached is the output of a session where new spam was incoming and
where I marked it as junk (I replaced with XXXX private informations:
some folder names and account login). I don't know if it's very useful,
just ask if I can do something better.

Importance: Undecided
