Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-desktop-environment

This is very nit picky but gnome-desktop-environment has an unmet
dependency if you try to install it on Ubuntu 8.04 - the Hardy Heron.
Run the command sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop-environment and you
get this message:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  gnome-desktop-environment: Depends: gnome-keyring-manager (>= 2.20.0) but it
is not installable
E: Broken packages

A little searching and I found there is no such package as gnome-
keyring-manager. I don't think its a good idea to have a non-existent
package as a dependency for a package that exists.

** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
