Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
When previewing a screensaver hack in System/Preferences/Screensaver and
where the hack is one requiring a white background (e.g. substrate), the
preview appears correctly (white background) for the first preview and
after that, it will be incorrectly rendered with a black background.
Closing the screensaver window and opening it again fixes the preview,
but the hack is still rendered incorrectly when the screensaver
activates.
If gnome-screensaver is uninstalled and the xscreensaver package
installed, the problem goes away.
