Yes, when I add the fus applet to the pannel the pannel freezes for 10 seconds. Then when I click on the applet the load spikes and another 10 seconds passes before ALL the users are diplayed. Its a pretty big list as in the gnome-screensaver display. This is on an AMD Athlon MP(dual proc) with a gig of ram. So its not exaclty a slow system. Its just waiting to recieve the list and while it does you can't unlock your screen in the screen saver and you can't use the pannel in the case of the applet.
