Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Don't know if this is an mp3 specific problem; I only have mp3s, no oggs
or anything, so I can't test. Everything was working on Gutsy, had
installed the restricted codecs, etc. After upgrade to Hardy, I try to
play an mp3 and nothing happens; the play button is depressed, but the
timestamp displays 0:00 and doesn't move. Running rhythmbox -d from the
console provided no insight -- it displays "ticks" as if it is playing
the song, even though it isn't.

Please let me know if I can provide any more information to help fix
this; right now I have to hunt down a working mp3 player since xmms
seems to no longer exist and Rhythmbox is broken. :(
