Thanks for the answer. My version of Ubuntu is Dapper 6.06 and for the
gnome-user-guide it's the gnome2-user-guide 2.14.2-0ubuntu1 release. Actually,
in the numerous messages i get during the installation, some of them are about
the encoding in UTF-8, like this one:
/var/lib/scrollkeeper/uk/scrollkeeper_cl.xml:600: parser error : Input is not
proper UTF-8, indicate encoding !
Bytes: 0x80 0xD0 0xB8 0x3C

I guess it's problem mine but I don't know how to fix it.
