You have been subscribed to a public bug:
While navigating the Places menu I accidently dragged the Desktop icon
unto my desktop. This created a folder on my desktop labled Desktop. I
sent this folder to the trash and I cannot delete this folder. When I
open this folder while it is in the trash it has created multiple
Desktop folders within the main folder. Example: When opened in trash
the Desktop folder has Desktop folder>Desktop folder>Desktop
Folder...etc to infinte depth. I believe this is why I cannot delete it
because the filename is so large it errors out. Part of this error can
be duplicated by navigating to Places>Desktop and dragging that Desktop
icon to the actual Desktop. Any help is appreciated. This is in Ubuntu
Hardy 8.04 with latest updates.
