Public bug reported:
Hi Gnomians,
I'm terribly sorry that I can't provide you with a way to reproduce this
right at this moment.
When I open certain files over SFTP I get an "Authentication Required"
screen. This screen is then frozen, but can be minimized, and the
cursor changes to a text-edit cursor when the password field is hovered.
I can also minimize it, but can't close it.
I've just begun using this functionality of Ubuntu, and I'm currently
using Hardy, so I can't be sure if this bug existed in earlier versions.
I made an honest attempt to find debug packages in order to try and read
out more info but I wasn't very successful in my search, mainly because
I've never debugged a desktop application before.
I'd love to help if you give me some starting point, such as any useful
debugging tools for this. I'm all for learning this stuff.
Regards,
Friðrik Már
