Public bug reported:

Affects: gnumeric (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
When either creating a new gnumeric file or opening an existing file,
most of the math functions are missing (ln, stdev, skew, etc) along with
the charting functionality (there are no chart types under "Plot Type").
Existing charts do not show at all.

If I reinstall gnumeric and various libraries that gnumeric depends on,
the chart functionality appears. However, once I close gnumeric the
functionality disappears again.

This is on an x86 machine (Gateway 4520GZ Intel Centrino) with Dapper
Flight 6 using KDE.
