Binary package hint: evolution
New mail notification help is not correct in evolution 2.22.1.1 for
english
setup:
ubuntu 8.04 upgraded from 7.10 using the cd upgrade installation disk.
most recent update manager as of 5/30/2008
action:
navigate to
evolution > help > advanced mail configuration > general mail settings
expectation:
to find help to configure the new mail notification settings and assign a sound
to a new mail notification
result:
the following text is present
"New Mail Notifications:
Evolution can alert you to the arrival of new mail with a beep or by playing a
sound file. Choose your alert noise, or select none, as you prefer. You can
choose not to notify on new mail arrival."
the new mail notification setup has been moved to the mail plugins and
is no longer present on the dialog (see attachment)
