Public bug reported:

When using gedit to browse a mounted sftp location for a file to open,
or when browsing the sftp location to save a file, gedit will crash on
the following:

The browse facility is nautilus like, and on navigating a location
several "breadcrumb" buttons appear. Using these buttons to "go up a
level" results (7 times out of 10) in a crash. For instance if the path
to the current folder is /home/user/web/images and I click the "web"
button gedit dies.

The terminal output is:

gedit: ../../src/xcb_lock.c:33: _XCBUnlockDisplay: Assertion
`xcb_get_request_sent(dpy->xcb->connection) == dpy->request' failed.
Aborted

I have tried using nautilus to browse the sftp mount, using the
"breadcrumb" buttons, with no ill effect :)
