Public bug reported:

Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Choose with gdm setup "Log-on user xyz automatically after 5 seconds"
(for example).

When you start the computer, you see the gdm log-in screen and you can
read:

"User linux log-in after 5 seconds". (Or similar, I have a german
Ubuntu).

But the right way is (and I think under Breezy it was) "User xyz log-in
after 5 seconds".

There should be the right username xyz displayed in the gdm log-in
screen instead of "linux".

(System: Ubuntu Dapper Drake, Gnome 2.14.1, all actuall updates installed.)
