Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp
The help system when tying to open a help topic reports that the corresponding xml file is invalid. This happens with *all* help topics. For example when I tried to access the "Files, Folders and Documents" topic a message appeared stating: "Unable to load page. The requested URI "file:///usr/share/gnome/help/files-and-docs/C/files-and-docs.xml" is invalid". The version of Ubuntu is 8.04 The version of yelp is 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 (as reported by "apt-cache policy yelp" ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Jun 7 14:10:45 2008 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/yelp NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: yelp 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron: PATH=/home/username/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: yelp Uname: Linux 2.6.24-18-generic i686 ** Affects: yelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- The help system reports that the xml files are invalid - This happens with all help topics https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238112 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to yelp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
