Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Nautilus in 8.04 automounts all my USB keys perfectly, handles files on them or transfers just fine, and while it appears to dismount them just fine (right-click -> UnMount Volume) the volume is NOT visually removed from Nautilus's Tree view. In Nautilus's Places mode, the USB key is removed only after it is physically unplugged, not immediately on unmounting. In Tree mode, the USB key is still 'visible' even after physically removing it from the USB socket. Similar behaviour with SD cards mounted via a USB cardreader, in both Places & Tree modes. Ubuntu 8.04, Nautilus 1:2.22.3-0ubuntu2, brand-new install of 8.04. ** Affects: gvfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gvfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 8.04 Nautilus does not appear to dismount USB storage properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238459 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
