Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Gnome-power-manager forces a shutdown/hibernate/suspend (depending on settings) when battery is low, even when adapter is plugged in. Steps to reproduce: 1. Unplug adapter. Suspend laptop. 2. Wait till battery is low.. 3. plug adapter in. Unsuspend laptop. Be powerless to stop the laptop from being shutdown even though the power manager recognizes the adapter being connected (from the icon) Expected behaviour: Do not shutdown/suspend/hibernate when the adapter is plugged in. Poll for battery status before taking action. Only take action when battery is "critically low", when it's charging it doesn't matter that there's only 1% battery left so it's not critical.
