so far for historical reasons we were using 'uz' for the KDE ( Gnome, mandriva)
Uzbek
(Cyrillic) translations. However, according to libc locale standards
'uz' and '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' are for Uzbek written in Latin and Cyrillic
scripts. Since we are going to add Uzbek (Latin) translations into KDE
(4 and 3.5) and since AFAIK KDE4 is system locale aware we would like
to use standard libc locales for Uzbek. Some time ago we changed to
'uz' and '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' for existing Mandriva and GNOME translations.
Here are more details on this.

We want ubuntu also use libc standart for uzbek. "uz" for uzbek latin
and "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" for uzbek cyrillic script.

** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Confirmed
