You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I have very frequently lags under Hardy Heron.
When such a lag comes up, my mouse moves like a dia show over the screen, sound
hangs, and games are also like a dia show.

I have redirected the output of the applicatoin "top" into a text file by using
the command
  "top -d 0.7 > ./top.txt"

In the next step I called the "glxgears" tool to track the next upcoming lag:
35085 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7016.815 FPS
35129 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7025.645 FPS
35117 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7023.373 FPS
35156 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7031.090 FPS
35036 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7007.101 FPS
35103 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7020.419 FPS
35123 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7024.408 FPS
35124 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7024.755 FPS
35123 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7024.414 FPS
35132 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7026.258 FPS
35119 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7023.774 FPS
27283 frames in 5.1 seconds = 5359.702 FPS
333 frames in 6.0 seconds = 55.369 FPS
35081 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7016.183 FPS
35121 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7024.186 FPS
35159 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7031.673 FPS
35134 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7026.629 FPS
35114 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7022.612 FPS
35131 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7026.113 FPS
35112 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7022.373 FPS

When the lag of 55.369 FPS came up, I have interrupted "top" with ctrl+c.
I think at line 208 in the top.txt file the lag came up, because the output is
different to the other entries.
