Another command has gone missing, once upgraded to Hardy: Resetting
gnome panel in 8.04 seems to be more destructive than in 7.10:


In 7.10 if you lost your panels (gnome-panels) or just wanted to reset them to 
defaults you would have to run:

sudo debconf gnome-panel


In 8.04, certain things are a little different, you must remove the following 
directories to reset the panels:

rm -fr .gconf/ .gconfd/ .gnome2/ .gnome2_private/


Is it possible to bring back, or to let me know if there is a replacement 
command to reset the panels in 8.04.
