The problem seems to be that the MIME types application/x-lzma and application/x-lzma-compressed-tar aren't actually in the shared MIME database; copying the attached file into /usr/local/share/mime/packages and running "sudo update-mime-database /usr/local/share/mime" adds them, so the archives can at least be opened. (The upstream freedesktop.org package has included these MIME types since version 0.30, but the package in Hardy is only on version 0.23.)
Other integration details don't work properly (the files don't have an archive icon or an "Extract here..." context menu item in Nautilus), but that's probably a separate bug... ** Attachment added: "x-lzma.xml" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15421448/x-lzma.xml -- .tar.lzma not associated with file-roller https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220320 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
