* Move a folder or file that starts with a dot (ie hidden file) into the trash.
* Open the trash
* The trash looks empty.
* The 'Empty Trash' button is active, but it's easy to miss
This happened to me today when using Baobab Disk Usage Checker. I moved
my (large) .wine folder to the trash, but when I opened the trash it
looked empty. I was confused and couldn't figure out how to reclaim the
space.
I suggest that whenever you open the trash window/folder, it should
start with 'show hidden files' checked.
