Binary package hint: gedit
When editing files remotely and the connection times out (repeatable
under SFTP) Gedit uses 100% CPU usage. For example you have a few files
open, lock the desktop and come back the next day you can notice that
Gedit has been using 100% CPU since the early hours of the morning.
Closing and restarting Gedit refreshes the remote connection and
resolves the issue. Seen on several Ubuntu installations here.
