Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I followed a symbolic link in nautilus on a mounted logical volume which
had been mounted manually with 'mount'. The link took me to a similarly
named directory on my root partition. I selected the 'Move To Trash'
option for all of the folders contents. The contents did not appear in
the .Trash of either the root partition or the mounted partition.
