I looked at the instructions for getting a stack trace and they involve
adding lines to /etc/apt/sources.list and installing some additional
packages. While I'm not opposed to spending a little bit of time to
help the Ubuntu community, I am opposed to making changes of this degree
to my laptop because it is the only computer I have and I depend on it
greatly.
What's more, I described the steps required to reproduce this bug, and
while I can't be certain, I think that this can be easily reproduced on
any Ubuntu computer with the stack trace packages already installed. It
should take less than a minute.
This is a real bug, causes nautilus to crash, is extremely easy to
reproduce, and should therefor be easy to fix. The fact that I am
unwilling to install additional packages on my only computer should not
prevent someone from looking into this a little.
Those are my $0.02.
