What do you mean "I'm sure the people of the Ubuntu Art team will have look and see how their consensus is"? Because no one seems to be doing so. If you mean irc ubuntu-art...it's dead. If you mean irc dapper-look....nothing is ever said, though peole are there for some reason other than discussing etc... The nav icons do not match anything anywhere in the desktop color scheme. It's close to progressbars, range slider trough, and checks/options, but those are that color because, as Mark puts it, they are not seen often. Nav icons are seen often and really should be toned down to follow this concept and flow with the rest of the desktop.
