Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
The Panel LCD Brightness control worked on 7.10 but is now broken after
an upgrade to 8.04 Alpha on an x86_64 build.
I can still control the brightness using /etc/acpi/sonybright.sh, but
dragging the slider has no effect (and up/down arrow keys no longer move
the slider when it is in focus).
