Application: Nautilus 2.22.2
OS: Linux - Ubuntu 8.04 / Fedora 9
------------------------------------------------------
1 - Description
2 - Vulnerability
3 - POC/EXPLOIT
------------------------------------------------------
Description

Nautilus is a file manager or as they say a "shell graphic",
is built with gnome and is similar to the explorer in the windows.

------------------------------------------------------
Vulnerability

The vulnerability works in nautilus that allows you to create a "note" on any
file and folder,
the problem arises because it does not measure the scope of the text to be
inset,
then make a note on one line alone with a certain amount of characters this
provokes to break the nautilus and restarts.

While I can not determine which function well in failure because the debugger
ends,
we can not say that the fault is critical because failure is due to see the
note,
something that is difficult for a user to do so.

------------------------------------------------------
POC/EXPLOIT

The proof of concept can be done manually,
create a file or folder, right click on the play,
and paste in a single line about 6049 letters "A",
this will lead to break and reset.
