Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which
is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper

bug as a bug in nautilus (I don't think it should be trashapplet).

Can you please tell us what error it is giving when you try to empty the trash? 
 You may attach a screenshot if that works best for you.  This seems more like 
a support request, but we will continue here until we are sure.  If it says you 
don't have permission, you may need to open nautilus with root privileges
 gksudo nautilus
then navigate to /home/<yourusername>/.local/share/Trash/files and delete the 
files from there.
