Here's a "me too". /home is NFSv3 mounted and there's nothing obviously wrong with the Launcher, but the Properties dialog closes after selecting the "Launcher" tab. No sign of distress or any actual crash, it just closes.
Happens on Hardy 8.04 with both old (6.06) and newly-created launchers.
