Bug 181737 could perhaps be considered a duplicate. It doesn’t show up by
default in search results because it is in turn a duplicate of bug 33288.
Most of the bug reports I can find mention specifically columns. If the issue
in this report and the issues with selecting columnar text are one and the
same, then it is indeed reasonable to mark them as duplicates of each other.
I wouldn’t myself be sure whether they are manifestations of the same
underlying problem, so I’ll leave that decision to others!

That could perhaps be considered an upstream duplicate, as it is general
enough not to mention columns in its summary and its linked examples are no
longer available (link rot)! I don’t know whether any Launchpad bugs are
tracking that upstream report; perhaps this one could be linked to it instead
of another Launchpad report.
