I can reproduce this on Xubuntu 8.04.1. To add to this report, if
"restart" is selected, the system will restart without asking if you
want to save. When you log back in, a blank page is opened in Gedit,
with the file name: "Unsaved_Document". At this point, you may not even
remember what the document was, but if it is unsaved and and page is
blank, Gedit should close and stay closed.
