Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libpango1.0-0
I just ran into, and eventually fixed a problem with Ubuntu Hardy automatic updates that hinged on the available version of libpango. The Firefox 3.0.1 release that just came out depends on xulrunner-1.9.0.1, which in turn depends on libpango 1.20.5. On my AMD64 system, all dependencies were pulled down and the upgrade worked as advertised. On my i386 laptop, however, the latest version of libpango was stuck at 1.20.1-1, and the installation of xulrunner, and in turn Firefox-3 was blocked. I manually installed libpango and libpango-common 1.20.5.0 from http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy-updates/i386/libpango1.0-0/download, and this cleared the logjam and allowed Firefox 3.0.1 to be installed. I think this is possibly a bug in the Hardy i386 update package dependencies/available versions. ** Affects: pango1.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Firefox 3.0.1 upgrade fails on Hardy 8.04 i386 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/251993 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to pango1.0 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
