The combination of three malayalam (ml) characters should produce a
combined letter. for example U+0D38, U+0D4D, U+0D35, should produce a
character combination consisting of two characters. (U+0D4D act as a
joining character). On gutsy (Tribe 5) it produces a 3 character
combination, which is improper rendering of this letter. The problem is
in combining the last two characters (ie.U+0D4D and U+0D35) with the
first character (which could be anything).

To reproduce -> open gedit
input these characters (If you select inscript indic keyborad layout with
Malayalam chosen use this sequence -> m->d->b), in Tribe 5

Most likely this is a regression in the pango library. (pango-indic-fc.so). I
could provide details of how it should look like if needed.
Apart from this most other malayalam rendering problems have gone away in gutsy
compared to fiesty.

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Incomplete
