Binary package hint: evince
The attached pdf document is viewed correctly with Windows.
With Evince 2.22.2 (poppler 0.6.4 (cairo)), some of the characters are
scattered on the page.
My release of Ubuntu is 8.04.1
The package is 2.6.24-19-generic
I join one pdf file where this appears
