1. i installed intrepid alpha 3 on vmware workstation 6.0.4
2. i did a couple of tricks to avoid vmware problems -

3. i logged in
4. i ran 'screen resolution' graphical utility
5. the resolution was 800x600, then i changed it to 1024x768
6. i changed it back to 800x600
7. everything got ugly - see attached screenshot
