Problem:
In file browser, I could press "F2" to start renaming a file, but then
my keyboard becomes useless - no keystroke appears on the screen.
Sometimes, after about a minute, the typed letters appear. Another thing
I noticed is, previously I could key in a letter and jump to files
starting with that letter in file browser, but now I can't (since my
keyboard is useless there).
In Eclipse, keyboard sometimes becomes useless, too. Restarting helps,
but it appears again.
In both situations, mouse works fine, and keyboard works fine with any
other application.
System Information:
I am running latest Gutsy. I started with Ubuntu, but also installed KDE
a couple of days ago. I have tried both GDM and KDM and problems exist
in both.
Thanks for the much needed help. I have been in love with Gutsy since
installation a week ago, except this problem. I have to be able to use
Eclipse in it.
