selecting system>shutdown brings up a dialog box with hibernate ,restart
, cancel ,and shutdown selecting any button there does nothing at all,
no effect , it does not return you to the login screen the dialog box
just disapears . this began occouring after updates of aug 8 ,2008 late
PM eastcoast US . intrepid ibex 64bit gnome . using the logout button
you can logout and then shutdown from the login window , using "sudo
shutdown now" takes you to the recovery menu .
