Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: eog
I have come upon a strange bug when trying to display some jpeg images:
When I open the image in eog, either from CLI, double click in nautilus
or from menu, eog either hangs before opening a window, or does not
display anything. The same if I open more images and the "bad" image is
the first to be displayed (i.e. alphabetically first).
But if I open more images at once and the "bad" image is not the first
to be displayed, eog behaves normally and I can switch to the
problematic image with arrows in eog's toolbar. The same if I open one
ok image and just switch through all images in directory.
I have verified this with images named a.jpg and b.jpg and then renamed
a.jpg to c.jpg. When invoked from CLI, eog diplayed them correctly in
one case and hanged in the other one.
Never was anything printed to terminal.
I suspect that the problematic images were at least partially created in
blender - the one I am attaching was and several others as well.
