Same problem. I can't find the duplicate bug mentioned so I'm posting
here.
How to reproduce:
1) Place desktop icons on the furthermost edge of the right side or
bottom-right corner of the desktop.
2) Lower screen resolution (any significant increment)
(tested on: 1280x1024 -to- 1024x768 and 1280x800 -to- 1024x768 )
The desktop icons disappear.
The desktop icons can be accessed/restored again by either:
a) Change the screen resolution back to its original setting
b) Go to Places > Desktop in Nautilus, find the icons and drag them onto the
desktop
- Possibly also by restarting the computer (NOT TESTED)
Expected reaction:
As desktop size is resized, icons on right or bottom-right of screen get
"pushed"/moved inward so they are visible with new screen resolution.
