Public bug reported: Binary package hint: launchpad-integration
When using launchpad to report a bug and selecting advanced reporting a field is presented to allow entry of the affected package. If the user enters a value that does not match a package (e.g. "Gnome" instead of "gnome") they receive the error message: "There is 1 error" when the submit the form. Nothing is done to highlight where in the form the error has occurred, which can be confusing to even experienced web users - imagine how frustrated it would make your grandmother. I had to read the form several times to find my error and click the "Choose..." link to correct by entry. I think it is excellent that the form allow direct entry and doesn't force the user to use search to select a package, but we need to highlight their error more clearly. If 'normal' people can't use a form to submit a bug we're never going to know about their problems and successfully address Bug #1. Screenshot of the excellent error message attached.
