** Summary changed:

- [hardy] Rhythmbox said operation not supported when importing folder
+ First "Import Folder" reports "Operation not supported"

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: rhythmbox
+ Problem occurs in:
+ * Ubuntu Hardy
+ * Ubuntu Intrepid daily live, 2008-08-26

- When I run Rhythmbox and click Music > Import Folder the folder open
- dialog appears and I get an error dialog saying "Operation Not
- Supported" and if I click OK I can go ahead and select the folder I want
- to import.
+ 1. Start Rhythmbox for the first time (or after deleting .gnome2/rhythmbox).
+ 2. Choose "Music" > "Import Folder".

- This bug is not urgent at all but it will give new users the wrong
- impression and it is a bit annoying.
+ What happens: A filepicker appears with the error "The folder contents could
not be displayed - Operation not supported".
+ What should happen: A filepicker appears with no error message.

- Note: This bug happens only the first time you select Music > Rhythmbox
-
- TO REPRODUCE ERROR
- This may work - I think this is how to reproduce the error
-
- Make sure you delete the following folder:
- /home/(username)/.gnome2/rhythmbox
-
- Open Rhythmbox and click Music > Import Folder
-
- TO REPRODUCE ERROR - PLAN B
- This will always work
-
- Install Ubuntu in a VM or anywhere
- Open Rhythmbox and click Music > Import Folder
+ This bug will give new users the wrong impression and it is a bit
+ annoying.
